Taste of life in jail
From the archive, first published Thursday 19th Apr 2001.
Youngsters at Cradley High School will get a taste of porridge and life behind bars with the arrival of a crime and safety awareness day.
The day is being organised by the police, Prison Me No Way Trust and Dudley Council's education department.
The campaign is a youth crime reduction and good citizenship venture which will give students a taste of reality of life in prison.
It is hoped 14 and 15-year-olds will understand the consequences of crime.
