Shed full of top comedy

From the archive, first published Monday 4th Mar 2002.

Comedy night ret-urns to The Shed on Tuesday March 5 with a line-up which promises to induce laughing fits among even the most serious of souls.

The increasingly popular monthly event called Mirth Control kicks off at the Brierley Hill venue at around 8pm.

Headline act for the evening will be Edinburgh Festival star Rob Rouse (pictured below left).

The winner of Channel Four's prestigious `So You Think You're Funny Award' at the festival last year, Rob Rouse has just finished support slots with the northern TV comic Phil Kay.

Alongside him will be East London funnyman, Clyde West (top right) and the side splitting Stephen Williams (right).

Swindon comic Geoff Whiting will be MC for the night.

Admission is £4.
