Quigley raring to go for Brands Hatch comeback

Brierley Hill motorcycle rider Luke Quigley is on target to return from a two-month injury lay-off at the European Superstock Championship round at Brands Hatch on Sunday.

Quigley's season was thrown into turmoil after a spectacular crash at Monza at the beginning of May which saw him suffer a fractured pelvis in two places.

The 23-year-old has tested at Snetterton, Pembrey and Brands Hatchand is raring to get back racing.

Press officer Michael Guy said: "It's going to be a tough first meeting back against the best in Europe.

"But all the team are looking for is any kind of result.

"Luke is only 95 per cent fit and he's not been in racing conditions for nearly two months.

"He has done incredibly well to get back so quickly from such a serious injury.

"The team have stood behind him through it all because they know he's going so well."

Quigley races for the Jentin Racing/Fraser's of Gloucester team on their Suzuki GSXR-1000.

He is aiming to return to the British Superstock Championship at Thruxton between Friday August 9 and Sunday 11.
