Call to join the Guides

This week is Girlguiding UK Recruitment Week and Stourbridge MP Debra Shipley is urging both girls and adults to get involved.

Miss Shipley said: "Girlguiding is more popular than ever. There are now more than 51,000 girls waiting to join across the UK."

Membership enquiries are already up 70 per cent compared to last year but new adult volunteers are needed to help reduce waiting lists. Recruitment week will involve parents being invited to join girl-guiding groups and join in some of their activities.
