Kick in the teeth for veterans

ONE rule for one and one for another.
I find it amazing how our Tory-run Dudley Council is able to close off nearly half of central Dudley on June 19 so to parade the new Tory Mayor, yet were not able to close one street in Stourbridge for the VE Day British Legion march.
This really is a kick in the teeth for our war veterans.
It just shows they can organise street closures for ceremonial marches when they want to, and they are quick enough to close swimming baths, but it seems it's who you know, not what you know.
The members of the British Legion should take note - Tories always look after their own and always will.
So if you want to close a street next time, you will have to take extreme measures.
One is to join the Conservatives, which I could never, ever recommend.
Or one I can highly recommend is, come next May's local election, march to the polling station, and vote this shambles of a Tory-run council out.
